Hey there, Michelle!

First, I know it's been a few weeks since we last connected, so I'm sending this message with the hope that you are still doing well, healthy, and safe. How have things been?

Second, I wanted to take a moment to fill you in on some updates to our ULMS volunteer policy that may or may not impact your volunteer experience with us.

As of October 18, 2021, all ULMS employees will be required to be vaccinated to adhere to both King County and the state of WA requirements. In the interest of safety and the well being of everyone we connect with through our services, we are extending this mandate to any contractors or volunteers who choose to participate in ULMS events, activities, and projects.

This means proof of vaccination will be required before resuming volunteer activities if you wish to continue volunteering with us.

We do not intend to collect and store your vaccine information. We just ask that you bring your proof of vaccination (or a photo of it) to the volunteer opportunities you'd like to be included in.

While I shudder at the thought of deterring any of our amazing volunteers from working with us (you all are, and have been, such a HUGE helping hand in reaching those we serve), I would completely understand and respect if you choose not to disclose this information -- regardless of vaccination status. I just want to make sure you are aware of the latest volunteer policy updates as we plan for future activities.

If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please don't hesitate to reply back to this message. I am here if you need me.

In the meantime, stay safe! I look forward to continuing this important work in our community together.

Yours in the movement,

Ashley
